आपण शहरात राहत असू किंवा उपनगरात अथवा ग्रामीण भागात, आपल्या घराला एक भवताल असतो. निदान दोन-चार वेगवेगळी झाडं असतात, पाखरं असतात, डांबरी रस्त्यांखेरीज जमीन असते, डोक्यावर आभाळ असतं, ऊन-वारा-पाऊस असतो आणि ऋतुनुसार बदलणारी गार-गरम सर्द हवाही असतेच असते. प्रत्येक महिन्यात हा भवताल बदलत असतो, त्याचे रंग बदलत असतात.

या पुस्तकात बारा महिन्यांची बारा चित्रं आहेत. दर महिन्यातला बदलता निसर्गच खरं तर त्या त्या महिन्याची ओळख सांगत असतो, त्याची ओळख सांगणारा चेहरा त्याला देत असतो. निसर्गाकडे निसर्गाचा एक भाग होऊन पाहणारी दृष्टी महत्त्वाची. ही दृष्टीच हे लहानसं पुस्तक देईल.



Whether we live in a city, a suburb, or a rural area, our home is always surrounded by a certain environment. There are at least a few different trees, birds, patches of land beyond the tar roads, the open sky above, sunlight, wind, and rain—and the cool or warm seasonal air that keeps changing with time. This surrounding keeps transforming every month, and its colors keep changing too.



This book presents twelve pictures of twelve months. The changing nature in each month, in fact, defines that month and gives it a distinct identity and character. What is important is to develop a perspective that observes nature as a part of nature itself. This little book aims to offer exactly that perspective.
