Reading the title “Shriman Prasanna” makes one realize that the mind itself is like a deity. Health, wealth, children, and fame—these human needs are often believed to be granted by different deities. However, the joy derived from these blessings, the happiness they bring, and the ability to truly absorb and enjoy what one has achieved—these come from the mind.

If the mind is not content, if a person remains constantly unhappy, feels like sitting alone in darkness with a bowed head, then what is the use of having grand mansions, luxurious possessions, immense wealth in the bank, good health, or a well-settled family? Therefore, a contented mind is the greatest need of a human being, and that is why this book is titled “Shriman Prasanna.”

Samarth Ramdas emphasized physical strength and well-being by establishing Hanuman temples and wrestling arenas (akhadas). At the same time, to guide people on how to use this physical strength, what purpose it should serve, and how to attain happiness, he composed works like Manache Shlok and Dasbodh, offering deep teachings on the mind.

This book is written based on reflections on Manache Shlok, personal experiences, and insights gained while guiding others and making decisions. With all these considerations, an effort has been made to create a book that will truly be useful to everyone.
