गेली सात दशके कलाविषयक पुस्तके आणि बालसाहित्य यांसाठी ज्योत्स्ना प्रकाशन हे एक लोकप्रिय नाव आहे.

कलाविषयक पुस्तकांमध्ये स्केचिंग, ड्रॉइंग, पेंटिंग यांसारख्या विषयांपासून ते चित्रकारांचे विचार आणि त्यांच्या कार्यपद्धतींपर्यंतची पुस्तके आहेत. यांपैकी काही पुस्तके औपचारिक अभ्यासक्रमासाठीही शिफारस केलेली आहेत.

बालसाहित्य हा प्रकाशनाचा एक प्रमुख भाग आहे; चित्रपुस्तके, कथा-कादंबऱ्या, चरित्रे, इतिहास, विज्ञान आणि पर्यावरण अशा विविध विषयांवरील पुस्तके यात आहेत. पूर्व-प्राथमिक स्तरासाठी चित्रवाचन आणि भावनिक बुद्धिमत्ता (EQ) विकसित करणाऱ्या साहित्यासारखी अभिनव उत्पादनेही आहेत.

साहित्य आणि कला यांचा समावेश असलेल्या आणि प्रशंसा मिळवलेल्या चार खंडांच्या संग्रहाचाही यात समावेश आहे. कुमारवयीन वाचकांसाठी मूळ आणि अनुवादित पुस्तकेही आहेत.

ज्योत्स्ना प्रकाशनाच्या अनेक पुस्तकांना आशय आणि निर्मिती या दोन्हींसाठी अनेक पुरस्कार मिळाले आहेत. ल. गो. परांजपे यांनी १९५० मध्ये ही प्रकाशन संस्था सुरू केली. २०२४-२५ मध्ये संस्थेला महाराष्ट्र शासनाचा श्री. पु. भागवत उत्कृष्ट प्रकाशक पुरस्कार मिळाला.

Jyotsna Prakashan has been a popular name, since seven decades in art books and children’s literature.

Titles related to art range from books on subjects such as sketching, drawing and painting to those which cover views and working methods of artists. Some of these titles have also been recommended for formal studies.

Children’s books also form a major part of its publishing; the titles range from picture books, fiction, biographies, history, science and environment. It includes innovative products such as material for picture reading and EQ building for pre-primary level.

A four volume analogy which won accolades includes work of literature and art. The children’s list of books also has originals and translations for adolescents.

Jyotsna Prakashan has been a recipient of a number of awards for several of its titles both for contents and for production.

The round logo was in use till 1985. In 1985 the square logo was introduced and is in use till date.
